Well, Ruby on Rails is a douchebag platform to be sure, just take one look at Hannson if you aren't sure of that. OSX ... well, I like it, but I *am* a douchebag. Neither purports to be "OSS" but both play fairly well in multiplatform environments. And in five years we won't be talking about either. God, I hope that's true ...
